About Us
The Central Council for Rojhilat Kurdistan–Iran (Zentralrat für Rojhilat Kurdistan–Iran e.V.) is an independent, non-profit civil society organization based in Cologne, Germany. The Council works to preserve, promote, and introduce the culture, art, languages, history, and literature of Kurdistan and Iran. It also aims to strengthen cultural exchange with German society.
We believe that mutual understanding, open dialogue, and cultural participation can promote peaceful coexistence, social solidarity, and closer relations between different communities. Therefore, we work to build a bridge between Kurdish and Iranian communities and German society while creating an open and inclusive space for cultural, artistic, and social activities.
Promoting human rights, freedom of the press, access to reliable information, and public awareness of political and social developments in Iran and Rojhilat Kurdistan are also central to our work. Through responsible communication, public events, and open dialogue, we seek to draw greater attention to human rights and social issues.
Our activities cover visual arts, music, dance, languages, history, Kurdish and Iranian literature, and cultural and social dialogue. We pursue these goals through exhibitions, lectures, artistic performances, literary events, educational programs, cultural visits, and specialized working groups.
The Central Council for Rojhilat Kurdistan–Iran is politically independent and religiously neutral. Our work is guided by respect for human dignity, mutual understanding, social responsibility, and cooperation between cultures.
